In this policy, we will refer to yugot.com as the “Site” and YUGOT mobile applications as the “Apps”. We will refer to the Site, the Apps, and our other services collectively as the “Services”. We will refer to cookies and similar technologies collectively as “Policy”.

1. What are Cookies?

Cookies are text files containing small amounts of information downloaded to your browsing device (including computers and smartphones) when visiting a website or an app. Cookies are recognised by the website that downloaded them – or other websites that use the same cookies. This allows websites or apps to know if your browsing device has visited them before by uniquely identifying your browser or storing information or settings in your browser.

When visiting the YUGOT Platform, we may place cookies on your devices and helps us provide a customised experience, enabling us to detect certain kinds of fraud. The information we collect mainly uses cookies and other tools in a non-identifiable manner without referencing personal data. Such examples include collecting information for a better understanding of website traffic patterns, optimising your experience with YUGOT. – To enforce legal agreements that govern the use of the YUGOT Platform.

– For fraud detection and prevention, trust and safety, and investigations.

– For our customer support, analytics, research, product development and regulatory compliance. For example, data on the Platform functionality and speed help us optimise YUGOT and how the services are used to help improve the experience by detecting and gathering reporting on bugs.

– YUGOT uses Cookies to recognise your logged-in state on YUGOT to understand what purchases members, visitors are interested in, making YUGOT’s Platform function for you and help your browsing experience and use of the Site, Services, and Apps feel more customised.

– Cookie technology function is also necessary to ensure YUGOT works properly for visitors and members by maintaining security, safety and integrity of the Platform, authentication and logging into YUGOT (including remembering permission and consents the user has granted), ensuring the ability to securely complete transactions.

– Cookies help interact with social networks the user is signed into whilst using the Platform such as sharing content with social networks, logging in with the social network and other features you employ with the social network allowed in the social network’s privacy policy.

– Cookies also serve certain types of ads, including our products and services not available on YUGOT and for certain ads relevant to your interests.

– Approved third parties may also get cookies when you interact with YUGOT services such as search engines, providers of measurement and analytics services, social media networks and advertising companies.

Strictly Necessary Cookies

Such cookies are essential to make the YUGOT Platform work. Necessary Cookies enable moving around our website and app and use its features. Without such cookies, necessary services for you (“the user”) to use our Platform such as accessing secure areas is not available.

Operational and Functionality Cookies

Such cookies help provide you with YUGOT services, for example:

– Recognising you (“the user”) when you sign in to use our services.

– Recognising what level of membership you (“the user”) are, and providing other customised features and services.

– Displaying features, products and services, which might be of interest to you, including ads on our services if they are for products and services available on YUGOT.

Analytics Cookies

Analytics cookies collect information about how you (“the user”) uses our website. For example, the pages and services that are visited the most, what level of membership users prefer, and whether error messages appear on certain pages. Analytics cookies do not gather information which identifies you, but collects information with information from other users of our Platform on an anonymous basis adhering to the GDPR and Data Protection Act (2018) guidelines.

Session Cookies

Session cookies are specific to particular visits and carry information when you view different pages so you (“the user”) does not have to re-enter information every time you change pages or attempt to check out. Session cookies also expire and delete themselves automatically in a short period of time after leaving the YUGOT Platform or when closing your web browser.

Persistent Cookies

Persistent cookies remember certain information about your preferences for viewing the Platform and allows YUGOT to recognise you (“the user”) each time you return. Persistent cookies are stored on your browser cache or mobile device until you choose to delete them, and otherwise typically delete themselves after expiry.

Flash Cookies

Flash cookies are also known as Local Stored Objects and are similar to technologies that personalise and enhance your YUGOT experience. Flash cookies are small data files placed on a computer using Adobe Flash technology. Adobe Flash Player is an application that allows rapid development of dynamic content, such as video clips and animation.

We (“YUGOT”) use Flash cookies to personalise and enhance your online experience and to deliver content for Flash players. We (“YUGOT”) may use Flash cookies for security purposes, to gather certain website metrics and help remember settings and preferences. Flash cookies are managed through different interfaces than the one provided by your web browser and to manage such cookies, please visit www.adobe.com.

Disabling Flash cookies or similar technologies may mean not having access to certain content and product features such as your device remembering a listing you (“the user”) viewed during a previous visit.

Advertising Cookies

Ad cookies are used to deliver advertisements relevant to you (“the user”) and your interests. They are also used to limit the number of times you see an advertisement and measures the effectiveness of an advertising campaign.

Ad cookies also serve different types of ads, including for products and services not available on YOUGOT and for certain ads relevant to your interests. The cookies remember you (“the user”) visited a website and this information might be shared with other organisations such as advertising partners.

Approved third parties may also set cookies when you (“the user”) interacts with YUGOT services. Third parties include search engines, providers of measurement and analytics services, social media networks and advertising companies. Third party and Social Media Cookies

Third-party cookies are placed by someone other than YUGOT and may gather browsing activity across multiple websites and multiple sessions. They are usually a type of persistent cookie and are stored until you delete them or they expire based on the time period set in each third-party cookie.

To enhance your (“the user”) internet experience and to make the sharing of content easier, some of the pages on the YUGOT Platform may contain tools or applications linked to third parties social media service providers such as Facebook, Google+ and Twitter. These tools or applications on social media service providers may set their cookies on your (“the user”) device. We (“YUGOT”) do not control these cookies and need to check the social media services provider website for further details on how to manage these cookies.

Third parties place technologies such as pixels and SDKs on the YUGOT Platform. These technologies help us analyse how you (“the user”) uses the YUGOT Platform, such as by nothing the third-party services from which you arrived and market and advertise YUGOT services to you (“the user”) on the YUGOT Platform and third party websites. Third-party cookies also help us (“YUGOT”) detect or prevent fraud or conduct risk assessments and collect information about your (“the user”) activities on the YUGOT Platform, other sites and/or the ads you clicked on.

4. Services in the Apps (SDKS)

These are mobile application third-party software development kits (“SDKs”) embedded in the Apps permitting the collection of information about the app itself, activity in the app, and the device the application is running on. SDKs provide mobile performance and analytics data, bug reporting features and application program interfaces (“APIs”) to third parties helping provide the Services for social media functionality, and marketing and advertising.

5. Consent, Contract and Legitimate Interests in Processing

Certain Cookies are employed to make the YUGUT Platform function for its intended purpose and are provided based on contractual necessity based on your (“the user”) agreement with YUGOT to perform the services you requested. These include the function strictly necessary to our (“YUGOT”) services.

By choosing to use our (“YUGOT”) services after having been notified of our use of Cookie Technologies in the ways described in this Policy, and, in applicable jurisdictions, through notice and acknowledgement of your consent, you agree to such use. 6. Managing Your Cookie Technology Preferences

Operational cookies will remain on your browser for 13 months from your last visit to our services, except for cookies used to remember your privacy settings (such as Advertising Preferences), which may remain on your browser for up to 5 years. Other cookies remain on your browser for 13 months after you provide us with your consent to use these cookies.

Most browsers automatically accept cookies, but you (“the user”) can modify your browser to decline cookies by visiting the Help portion of your browser’s toolbar. You also can control the use of certain Cookie Technologies by opting out of third party marketing cookies and similar technologies via the Privacy Settings at the bottom of the YUGOT website page or via the GDPR preferences link for users in the European Union and EEA. You can also manage your YUGOT marketing preferences in your account settings.

If you access YUGOT through the Apps, you may control interest-based advertising on an iOS or Android by selecting the “Limit Ad Tracking” option in the privacy section of the Settings App on iOS or via advertising preferences on Android-based devices (Google Settings app). This will not prevent you from seeing advertisements but limits the use of device advertising identifies to personalise ads based on your interests.

If you do not wish to have the information used for interest-based advertisements, you may exercise your preferences and find out more about managing your preferences for ads online through resources available by the Digital Advertising Alliance at www.aboutads.info or the Network Advertising Initiative at www.optout.networkadvertising.org. For Google Analytics Advertising Features, you can opt-out through Google Ads Settings and Ad Settings for mobile apps. Google also provides a Google Analytics opt-out plug-in for the web. Various third parties also provide browser plug-ins and apps that can help provide information on how to limit or block third-party cookies, web beacons and Javascript-based technologies. YUGOT cannot vouch for the efficacy of a particular third-party product, but popular products provide privacy enhancements such as Ghostery and AdBlock Plus. Both Google and Facebook also provide tools to control the use of advertising on their respective platforms, including advertising on and with YUGOT and more information can be found on respective platforms, including Google’s Privacy Centre and Facebook’s Ad Settings.

If you choose to decline cookies, some parts of the YUGOT Platform may not work as intended or may not work at all. For example, you will not be able to add items to your shopping basket, proceed to checkout, or use any YUGOT services that require you to sign in. You may also need to manually adjust some of your preferences every time you visit one of our services.
